You can define user-level preferences such as Basic, Preferences and Permissions. Here, you can modify user's account settings and switch between multiple roles to save and change their account's user settings.
To set user preferences:

In the Application header, click User Profile icon.
Result: The User profile pop-up is displayed with the Role(s), Interaction Locale, and Organization details. You can also click on My Settings, Hotline, Troubleshooting Mode, Version Manager, Privacy Information, or About Syndigo, and Logout.

- Click My Settings.

Result: The My Preferences dialog box is displayed.
By default,
- A message "Note: Changes done here will take effect after application reload" is displayed.
- In the Basic grid, the User Name, Email, First Name, and Last Name are displayed. You cannot edit or modify the user details displayed here.

Notes:
- If the usePreConfiguredUsers flag is set to false in the Identity Provider (IDP) configuration, then the IDP user data is used and synced into the user model. In this case, the first and last names are not editable by the user.
- If the usePreConfiguredUsers flag is set to true in the IDP configuration, then the user model data is used. In this case, the first and last names are editable by the user.
- In the Preferences grid, you can select or edit the following values.

| Interaction Locale | Select the UI Interaction Locale from the drop-down, you must re-login into the application. |
| Date Format | Select the Date Formats from the drop-down. |
| Time Format | Select the Time Format from the drop-down. |
| Decimal Sequence | Select the Decimal Separator from the drop-down. |
| Data Locale | In Data Locale, you can view different values per locale for a set of attributes. |
| UOM Display Mode | Displays the UOM modes that is "unitname" and "unitsymbol". By default, "unitsymbol" is configured. |
- In the permission grid, you can select or edit the following values.

| Role | All the assigned roles are displayed for a particular user. |
| Interaction Role | Select the role from the drop-down to enable the selected Interaction Role. Note: The "External Name" of the user is displayed here. When you select a different interaction role from the drop-down, you must re-login into the application to access or view the functionalities enabled for the selected role. |
| Ownership Data | Ownership permission allows the authorized owner to "View" the data. You can only get or read values for these objects. |
| Ownership Edit data | Ownership edit permission allows the authorized owner to "View" and "Edit" the data. You can "Create, Update, or Write" values. |

Click Save.
Result: A confirmation message Data saved is displayed.
