Notifications

The application displays single or multiple notifications of an event or the same type of event. The notification indicates that you have an event that has occurred, or the system has completed an event or a task.

The Notifications icon is displayed in the application header. You can click on this icon to view the notifications while using other apps and respond to it at your convenient time. The notifications are displayed when:

  • You are assigned with new tasks as per workflow processes.
  • Others can share tasks/content with you.
  • You are the task creator and if the task is completed.
  • You, as a UI user have initiated a task related to an entity, multiple entities, import jobs, export jobs, or workflow changes.
Notes:
  • In the case, if you are a UI user performing some tasks on an entity, and if other user makes any changes and save the changes. Then, you have to refresh the page to view the latest changes. If you do not refresh the page, then after 60 minutes you will view the latest changes.
  • Changes made by back-end system and action which are not initiated by the UI user will not be reflected as notification for the UI user.
  • The application will not display any notification when users update entity details from Entity Manage page with some invalid data and save them using the Skip & Continue option.
  • You can view the entity related notification with an external name in the Notifications pop-up window.

To view notifications:

  1. In the Application header, click the Notification icon.

    Result: A popover is displayed with the notifications that are relevant to you. A sample screenshot of the Notifications icon and the pop-up window is displayed.

  1. Click on any notification link to view the details or to take action on those events or click Clear All to clear all the notifications from your view.

    Result: A confirmation message 'You don't have any notifications' is displayed when you click on the Notification icon.
